  • The total rainfall for today was 1.47 inches the most in one day since October 27, 2010 when 2.06 inches was recorded.
    The high wind gust today was 32 mph at 5:11 hours.

  • DECEMBER 4th & 5th, 2010 First Snow of the Season
  • The snow fell as fluffy aggregate crystals trapping air but contain little moisture.
    The total snowfall was 0.7 inches with a liquid equivalent of only 0.03 inches or a ratio of snow to liquid of a little over 20 to 1 ratio.
    The snow was greater on the snowboard as it was colder and not as much snow melted.
    Snowfall on the ground was melting but was sticking to tufts of grass and none stuck to streets or sidewalks.

    The minimum temperature last night was 15.2 °F the lowest minimum temperature since Feb. 8, 2010 when the minimum temperature was also 14 °F.

  • DECEMBER 13th, 2010 Second Snow of the Season
  • The rain turned to snow around 0415 and started as a wet snow of aggregate crystals and the snow ended around 0955.
    The total snowfall was 1.7 inches with a liquid equivalent of only 0.15 inches or a ratio of snow to liquid of a little over 11 to 1 ratio.
    The total precip. for today was 0.23 inches (0.08 inches was rain) & for Dec. 2.53 inches. There was around and inch of snow on the ground at sunset but the snow never stuck to streets or sidewalks to be significant.

  • DECEMBER 16th, 2010 Third Snow of the Season
  • The snow started at 0916 and from 1000 to 1400 it snowed steadily from 0.3 to 0.4 inches per hour.
    After 1400 the snow became much lighter and a little sleet mixed in with the snow and then the precipitation ended between 1700 and 1800.
    The total snowfall was 1.9 inches with a liquid equivalent of only 0.21 inches or a ratio of snow to liquid of a little over 9 to 1 ratio.
