The minimum temperature last night  was 31.7 °F the lowest  minimum temperature  since March 27, 2010 when the minimum temperature was 30 °F.  

Green beans and tomatoes were killed last night by the frost.

The minimum temperature last night  was 29.6 °F (recorded as 30 °F) the lowest  minimum temperature  since March 27, 2010 when the minimum temperature was also 30 °F.  

When the  temperature drops below 30 °F it is called a hard freeze!
