Feb. 9, 2010 width= Feb. 9, 2010 Northern VA Snow -

Almost all of the Feb. totals came in the two storms Feb. 5-6 and Feb 9-10 with only 3 days between storms. The Feb. totals were DCA 56.0 inches, BWI 77.0 inches, Philadelphia 78.7 inches, NY 51.4 inch. The snow doesn't melt between the two storms due to a prolonged stretch of sub-freezing days. The big problem was where to put this tremendous amount of snow and also blizzard conditions on the 10th with drifting snow. Such a winter season was unprecedented until this past winter in Northern VA, WV, MD, and PA.
