Remarks for the Time Period
   0      1350 hrs.   0  0.03  38.7  A snow and rain mix just started.
   1      1440 hrs.   0  T  35.7   Precipitation is now all snow.
   2      1530 hrs.   0.3  0.05  34.0  Grass and roofs are now white!
   3      1630 hrs.   1.4   ---  33.3  The street is starting to get white. The melted amount is not given as there is snow in the tripping bucket gauge that has not been melted yet!
   4      1730 hrs.   1.7  0.24  33.1  The snow rate has decreased a little during the past hour and the street isn't white but has some slush on it. In the past 15 to 20 minutes the flakes are large and falling as aggregates of many crystals.
   5      1830 hrs.   2.4  0.35  33.1  All the snow is melted in the tripping bucket gauge. Temperature has stabilazed around 33.1°F and snow rate is light now.
   6      1930 hrs.   2.7  0.39  32.8  Light snow this past hour and it is more snow on the snowboard than the ground. The ground is warm still and is melting the snow from the underside.
   7      2030 hrs.   2.9  0.41  32.7  Light snow this hour adding only 0.2 inches of snow.
   8      2130 hrs.   3.2  0.45  32.5  Snow is a little heavier now than during the past hour. A new snowboard was placed when 1.4 inches of snow was on the ground. This past hour this snowboard had 2.2 inch of snow on it. So, 1.4 and 2.2 gives a snow total of 3.6 inches but only 3.2 was measured as the current depth mreaning 0.4 inches had melted.
   9      2230 hrs.   3.5  0.48  32.4  Snow is falling at a rather stead rate accumulating 0.3 to 0.4 inches per hour and the temperature is near freezing now. The street is white again except for the car tire tracks.
  10      2300 hrs.   3.8  0.51  32.4  A dry slot is moving toward the Glen Allen Station and the snow has become very light flurries for and hour or so.
  11      2400 hrs.   3.8  0.56  32.4  The standing 8 inch gauge had a total of 0.56 inches of liquid. The heated tripping bucket was 0.05 off due to evaporation. Only flurries this past hour no measurable precipitation.
 Dec. 09th      0700 hrs.   Trace  0.06  32.3   A new snowboard was put out at midnight and at 0700 it had too little snow to measure. The flurries during the night that gave 0.03 inches of liquid was less than the melting rate.
  13      0800 hrs.   Trace  0.06  32.1  Only very light flurries in the past hour.
  14      0900 hrs.   0.2  0.07  32.4  Graupel mixed in and sleet during the past hour precipitation rate very light.
  15      1000 hrs.   0.2  0.08  32.6  Still only 0.2 inches of sleet and graupel on the snow board.
  16      1100 hrs.   0.2  0.08  32.7  A band of snow is still to the west of Glen Allen station.
  17      1200 hrs.   0.3  0.10  33.2  A very fine snow this past hour but about half of the snow that fell melted.
  18      1330 hrs.   0.5  0.13  33.4  Much of the snow is melting as it falls and the temperature is still increasing.
  19      1430 hrs.   0.7  0.15  33.7  Very light snow the past hour.
  20      1630 hrs.   1.0  0.19  33.2  Very light snow the past 2 hours.Checked the liquid amount in the standing rain gauges the past hour and it was 0.19 inches
