Remarks for the Time Period
1946 hrs.   T  0.35  33.4  A few snowflakes and snow grains snow grains— (Also called granular snow.) Precipitation in the form of very small, white opaque particles of ice; the solid equivalent of drizzle. The 0.35 inches is from rainfall earlier in the day. By 1955 only snow was falling and melting as it fell but the temperature is now near freezing and still falling now 33.2°F.
2005 hrs.   T  0.35  32.9  Flakes are large and falling as aggregates of many crystals. The sky mirror is now covered with snow and snow is sticking now to the elevated snowboard.
2100 hrs.   0.2  0.36  32.6  Flakes are large and falling as aggregates of many crystals and the snow rate is still light. The heater hasn't had enough time to melt the snow in the tripping bucket rain gauge so it is still 0.36 inches.
2200 hrs.   0.5  0.39  32.4  The lawn is starting to get white and the temperature has dropped almost to freezing now. Flakes are smaller the last 30 minutes of this past hour but falling as aggregates and the snow rate is still light. The gauge heater has melted all the snow in the tripping bucket but as you know it evaporates a small amount.
2300 hrs.   0.5  0.40  32.4   Snow crystals show light riming and many are broken and irregular and the snowfall rate continues to decrease this past hour.
2400 hrs.   0.5  0.41  32.6  Only flurries this past hour with no additional accumulation. This last liquid measurement was taken from a standing rain gauge. The evaporation from the heater in the tripping bucket gauge was 0.01 inches and was added on in this last hour. By the end of this hour even the flurries had stopped.
